Slow Simmered Herbed Drumsticks
Fresh thyme, sage and rosemary season chicken drumsticks that are browned in olive oil and butter and simmered in chicken broth or wine.

Yield: Makes 5 to 6 drumsticks
Ingredients
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme leaves
2 teaspoons chopped fresh sage leaves
1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary sprigs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 package (20 ounces) Just BARE® Chicken Drumsticks
2 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, cut into thin wedges
1 cup white wine or chicken broth
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Directions
• In shallow bowl, stir together flour, thyme, sage, rosemary, salt and pepper. Coat chicken drumsticks with flour mixture.
• In large skillet, sauté drumsticks in olive oil over medium-high heat for 8 to 10 minutes. Add butter and onions around drumsticks.
• Continue sautéing for 8 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides. Reduce heat to medium and gradually add wine. As sauce thickens, add water and parsley. Cook for 10 minutes or until there is no hint of pink in the meat. Serve drumsticks with broth.
